Free people of PoK: India tells Pakistan at United Nations

India on Monday attacked Pakistan at the United Nations and urged the western neighbour to "provide freedom" to the people of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) by ending the illegal and forceful occupation of the region.

At the Universal Periodic Review of Pakistan in UN, India asked Pakistan to take verifiable actions on matters such as terror-funding.

India's stern warning to Pakistan comes on the backdrop of India and UK facing yet another round of election for the appointment of a fifth judge at International Court of Justice (ICJ) in Hague, which had in May stayed the execution of Kulbhushan Jadhav in Pakistan.

India is learnt to have told Pakistan to dismantle special terrorist zones and take actions on safe havens that nurture terrorists in its territory.
